Montenegro's export prices of industrial products edged down 0.5% y/y in February after climbing 3.7% y/y in January, statistics office data showed. Manufacturing prices inched down 0.5% y/y, following a 3.9% annual increase in January, due to falling prices of clothes (down 11.8% y/y), beverages (down 6.6% y/y), food (down 1.7% y/y) and basic metals (down 0.9% y/y). Prices in the mining and quarrying sector inched down 0.8% y/y in February after dropping by 1.1% in January. Prices of industrial products imported in Montenegro posted zero annual growth in February after shrinking by 0.3% y/y in January, the statistics office said in a separate statement. Increase in prices of imported food products (up 6.2% y/y) was offset by decline in basic metal prices (down 3.1% y/y February), prices of tobacco products (down 23.8% y/y) and of metal products except machinery (down 3.7% y/y). |
