Montenegro to invest EUR 40mn in road construction and maintenance in 2013.

Montenegro plans to invest EUR 39.74mn this year in maintaining, renovating and building its state roads, the government said last week. The money will go for removing traffic network bottlenecks, to continue works on the Tifran tunnel, for the upgrade of important roads, bridges repairmen, intersections reconstruction, building third road lanes and dealing with damages caused by floods. The Tifran tunnel will stretch over 460 metres in the Berane municipality, eastern Montenegro. The government's state roads directorate has awarded the construction of the EUR 4.3mn project to local companies Bemaks and Rudnici Boksita.
