The lasagne was made by Novaco but according to SZPI Tesco is responsible for the products it sells. Earlier this week Tesco withdrew from its Czech stores locally produced salami that also contained undeclared horsemeat.
So far tests in the Czech Republic have confirmed two more cases of products labelled as beef but containing horsemeat - meatballs produced for Swedish furniture retailer IKEA and burgers imported from Poland. The checks were triggered by a European-wide scandal that erupted in January in Ireland and the UK after some beef products were tested to have contained undeclared horsemeat.
