British insurer Aviva seeks a buyer for its Romanian life-insurance subsidiary, Ziarul Financiar daily reported, quoting unofficial sources. Romania is excluded from the group of markets in the insurance group's new development strategy, the sources said. Aviva Europe confirmed for the daily that Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary are not among the seven strategic markets, selected by the company for further development. Nonetheless, it is premature to discuss plans to sell the subsidiary, the company added. Aviva entered Romania in 2000. |
