Bulgaria-founded software company Chaos said it has acquired the US-registered AI software developer EvolveLAB and its Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) tools for an undisclosed sum.
EvolveLAB said in a press release that “by combining forces with Chaos, we are accelerating our mission to redefine architectural design through AI, generative workflows and automation.”
EvolveLAB has developed Artificial Intelligence (AI) software created to streamline visualisation, generative design, documentation and interoperability for AEC professionals.
“With this acquisition, Chaos reinforces design-to-visualisation workflows, while expanding to include critical tools for [Building Information Modelling] BIM automation, AI-driven ideation and computational design,” Chaos said in the press release.
“With EvolveLAB now part of Chaos, the company solidifies its position as the go-to platform for architects, designers and VFX artists looking to seamlessly transform imagination into reality,” Stephan Sieber, Chaos’ CEO, said in the press release.
“EvolveLAB’s tools have already been embraced by the community for their thoughtful designs and ability to streamline cumbersome processes. Together, we’ll continue to develop these tools, creating even better ways to ideate, enhance and generate custom designs,” he added.
Founded in 2015, EvolveLAB integrates generative AI technology into architectural modelling software. Through its flagship software Veras, EvolveLAB has connected this capability to leading BIM products like SketchUp, Revit and Vectorworks. Among its customers are Cuningham, Störmer Murphy and Partners, H2I, LS3P and TVS Design.
