Russians begin selling t-shirts featuring photo of Trump assassination attempt

T-shirts with the captions "Russians Don't Surrender" and “I Will Never Stop Fighting For America” / Wildberries

E-commerce platforms in Russia have begun selling t-shirts featuring photos of the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.

Trump was shot at on July 13 during a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, just days before the Republican National Convention on July 15. The former president was struck in the ear, and blood was visible on his right cheek. As he was escorted away from the event by the Secret Service, Trump raised his fist and mouthed the words: "Fight! Fight! Fight!”

The image of Trump’s defiant, raised fist quickly spread worldwide. This includes Russia, where online clothing retailers immediately began printing the photo on t-shirts and listing them for sale on popular e-commerce platforms such as OZON and Wildberries.

In addition to the images, some of the t-shirts also feature phrases like “I Will Never Stop Fighting For America” and “Fight, Fight, Fight.”

Another of the t-shirts displays an image of Trump against a background in the colours of the Russian tricolour, accompanied by the caption "Russians Don't Surrender."

The T-shirts are priced between RUB1,000 ($11.50) and RUB2,000 ($23).

This trend is not confined to Russia. On July 14, the day after the shooting, The South China Morning Post reported that similar T-shirts appeared on China's largest e-commerce platform, Taobao, just hours after the incident.
